I completed a batch of 51 Illustrations for Cambridge University Press in February 2012.

The technique was a combination between hand colouring with watercolours and digital colouring with a tablet. The work was for a Grade 5 Life Orientation handbook.

Logo Design

get, set, go!

A well-designed logo sets the starting blocks for developing a strong corporate brand identity. Contact me for a quote!

We need to consider many factors when developing a logo, such as Intrinsic & connotive meaning, as well as production mediums

Logo Design can be quite a science. We need to consider many factors when developing a logo, such as: Intrinsic & connotive meaning (the colours, fonts and abstract symbolism all play a role) as well as production mediums (can it  be cut out in vinyl, embroidered, be used in a letterhead on a Black and White fax, will it fit in a Facebook Page profile block etc). I believe the client should also be happy with the end result, since he or she will be one seeing it and working with it daily. This makes logo design a bit of a to and fro process until we reach the final design. (Usually about 3 Sets of proofs and a couple more reverts with changes from the client)

The following gallery shows some of the logos I have either designed from scratch, or refreshed/updated, some in collaboration with others, and the rest mostly my own work.

Jeffreys Bay Photographer, Christelle Landman, asked me to build her portfolio website towards the end of 2011. She wanted a romantic yet approachable feel, since she specialises in wedding photography. She has the ability to put the couple at ease and find interesting and unusual angles and features to photograph. I also designed her business logo and corporate Identity.
